Wang Lei (died 211) was a minister serving under the warlord Liu Zhang during the late Han Dynasty period of Chinese history. Wang Lei became known amongst all the servants of Liu Zhang because he hanged himself upside-down from the castle wall to warn Liu Zhang against the welcoming of Liu Bei. When Wang Lei's warnings went unheeded by Liu Zhang, he cut the rope and fell to his death.
