Wapos Bay
Wapos Bay is a stop motion animated family television series that follows the adventures of three (or four[1]) children (Raven, her brother Talon, their cousin T-Bear and friend Devon) as they explore their remote Cree community in northern Saskatchewan [2] It is aired across Canada by the Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (as part of APTN Kids) and in the United States on the First Nations Experience Network (FNX).
It is aired in the languages of Cree, English, French and Inuk.[3]
The series was created by Dennis and Melanie Jackson of Saskatoon, and is a humorous look at aboriginal life featuring positive role models for children.[4] The producers have been able to procure the help of people including Jordin Tootoo, Lee Majors and Mike Holmes to supply voices to their own characters (or in Lee Majors' case, a character based on Steve Austin, his character from The Six Million Dollar Man).
The pilot episode There's No "I" In Hockey received the Canada Award for best Canadian multicultural program as well as a Golden Sheaf Award for best children's production.[5] In 2012, the film Wapos Bay: Long Goodbyes was nominated for the 2012 Kidscreen Award for best One-off, Special or TV Movie[6] and end up winning against its other nominees, Zhu-Zhu Pets: Quest for Zhu and Heartcatch Pretty Cure The Movie: Fashion Show in Paris!! [7] The first two seasons of Wapos Bay were coproduced with the National Film Board of Canada.[8]

Characters
These are the characters listed:
Children
- T-Bear Morin (born August 24, 1994) is the first male character listed. He is the son of Jacob and the cousin of Raven and Talon. His mother died when he was a baby and his father raised him alone. He is initially 11 years old like his cousin and friend.[10]
- Raven Marasti[11] (born May 19, 1998) is the younger sister of Talon, cousin of T-Bear, romantic interest of Devon, and primary female character. She is initially 6[10] and later 7 years old[12] but old enough to be in grade 3.[13] She has the same name as her English voice actress.
- Talon Marasti (born August 29, 1994) is the older brother of Raven, cousin of T-Bear and nephew of Jacob.[14] He is initially 11 years old like T-bear and Devon.[10]
- Devon Valentine (born February 8, 1994) is an 11 years old boy, enough to be in grade 7. The friend of Talon who has a crush on Raven, 4 years his junior.[15]
- Amber[16] (born April 24, 1998) is Raven's friend who she talks to about her romantic life in "Too Deadly". She is also a focus in "Patients" when she is late for camp. She is 11 years old just like Devon.
- Erimas[16] (born January 1, 1994) a pale boy that is new in town, estimated by Amber to be 4 years older than Raven (like Devon)

Adults
- Cyril[17][18] aka Mushom (English & Cree: Gordon Tootoosis) is the father of Jacob[19] and grandfather of Talon, Raven and T-Bear
- Kohkum (English: Andrea Menard, Cree: Marlene Rabbitskin and Maria Campbell) is the wife of Cyril, mother of Jacob[19] and grandmother of T-Bear. Not to be confused with Kohkum Marie. Cyril's wife's name is unidentified
- Jacob Morin[11][20] (born September 25, 1967) is the son of Cyril and Kohkum,[19] the father of T-Bear[21] and the uncle of Raven and Talon.[22] It is unclear whether he is the brother of Sarah or of Talon's father. He works in the Wapos Bay First Nation BAND OFFICE. He wears a pink sweater annually for Breast Cancer Awareness Week and also when The Village People broke up. He has the same surname as Raven's Cree voice actress and Devon's Cree voice actor. Closed captions for the show have mistakenly spelled his surname "Moren".[23]
- Sarah Marasti (born July 31, 1970) the mother of Raven and Talon, possibly the sister of Jacob and aunt of T-Bear. Otherwise, Jacob's sister-in-law and wife of T-Bear's uncle.
- Alphonse Marasti (born March 31, 1967) has a moustache and is Raven and Talon's dad. His name is revealed in the Mike Holmes episode and the one where Raven sneaks cereal into her mom's shopping cart without permission.
