Waqshash (local Quechua for eye tooth (waqsa),[2] hispanicized spellings Huacshash, Huaqshash, Huacshah) is a mountain in the west of the Waywash mountain range in the Andes of Peru, about 5,644 metres (18,517 ft) high. It is located in the Lima Region, Cajatambo Province, Cajatambo District.[3][4] Waqshash lies on a sub-range in the west, south of the Wayllapa River (Huayllapa) and southeast of the villages of Wayllapa and Awkimarka (Auquimarca).
