Waren Sardne

Waren Sardne (lit. Message from the Fjells) is a defunct Southern Sámi weekly that was published in Norwegian. It was founded in 1910 by Daniel Mortenson, who served as its editor-in-chief until 1913. After slightly less than a decade, he started publishing it again as a monthly in 1922, once again serving as editor-in-chief until his death in 1924,[1] when his son Lars Danielsen succeeded him in this post.[2] By 1927, the newspaper had folded for the last time. The target audience of Waren Sardne was the Southern Sámi themselves.
