Warren James Carne (born 14 October 1975 in Bulawayo) is a former Zimbabwean Mountain biker.

Early Years

His English father served as a Senior aircraftman in the Royal Air Force who saw active duty during the Malayan Emergency, his mother is South African.

His family relocated to South Africa in the late 1980s, Carne graduated from Potchefstroom Boys High and was in the same class as the South African Olympic 800 metre runner Hezekiél Sepeng, South African Heavyweight Boxer Sean Santana and first class cricketer Gary Outram.

Cycling Career

As a junior he dabbled in time trialing on the road before turning his attention to mountain biking. He placed 12th at the 2005 Zimbabwean National XC MTB Championships held in Harare and was a member of the Zimbabwe squad that competed at the 2007 UCI African Cross-country cycling Championships that were held in Windhoek Namibia where he placed 5th in the Men's 30-35 Cross Country race.
