WartenbergTrust is a global multi-family office, wealth management and investment advisory firm established in 1921 to manage financial and other assets of the Wartenberg family in German-speaking Europe and from 1931 also in France, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, the US and Italy. The firm offers a broad range of customized wealth, estate and tax planning solutions, as well as business and philanthropy advisory and legal services. It was originally established as a single-family office, but in 1933, it began managing assets for other high-net-worth individuals, exclusively members of European aristocratic and former reigning royal families. From its foundation, the Trust's operations have been shrouded in mystery and the firm is well known as a closed-door multi-family firm, which doesn't accept new clients or outside funds and investments. Contrary to most other MFOs, it also doesn't outsource directly any of its services. As none of the people mentioned on the company's web site have ever left a trace in the financial community (eg. Blooomberg), the whole thing is probably a hoax. The company's web site is the only source of information and the company itself is not registered in Monaco although it claims to reside there.
Wartenberg Trust also claims to run an advisory arm, the Wartenberg Fund, which provides customized strategic advice for effective philanthropy. Its own foundation is focused on achieving medical improvements through innovative research into HIV/AIDS and dementia.[1]
