Waseem Mirza
Waseem Mirza (born in Peterborough) is a presenter and reporter for BBC television and radio.
Broadcasting career

Waseem Mirza is an award winning TV presenter and reporter. He has worked on a range of programmes from regional TV news in the East of England and Home Counties, to the BBC's flagship international technology news feature show Click. He's been named TV Hotshot by Broadcast, as part of their influential annual list of Britain's top TV talent under 29. He's also been nominated for the GG2 Asian Media Awards and is a holder of a special recognition award from the Business Mentoring Programme in Bedfordshire.
He also dabbled in the world of screen acting before focusing on news and factual television, having landed a role as a double for the daytime BBC drama series "Doctors", during his undergraduate years and co-presented a National Film & Television School pilot entertainment show, funded by the BBC.
Waseem can currently be seen on the BBC, presenting the prime-time 8pm news summary for BBC1 in the East of England including three of the Home Counties. He also regularly reports on the latest science and technology news from "Silicon Fen" - Britain's answer to Silicon Valley. Waseem is listed in the annual Spotlight Presenters publication and on spotlight.com
