Wassa

The Wassa are an Akan people who live predominantly in Ivory Coast.[1]

The Wassa also live in Akanland, Ghana. One of the best-known Wassa towns is Tarkwa, one of the highest producers of gold in Akanland, and where John Atta Mills was born.
