Watford Ladies Football Club are an English women's football club affiliated with Watford F.C. They began playing in the second division of the FA WSL in 2014, finishing in 7th place.[1]

In the 2015 season, with a number of players leaving, retired or absent through injury, a young and inexperienced side gained only 5 points and finished bottom of WSL 2.[2] General manager and head coach John Salomon left at the end of the season to take up a new role with The Football Association.[3] The club appointed Ellie Kemp as the new General Manager in December 2015,[4] and Katie Rowson as head coach in February 2016.[5] At the same time it was announced that Watford F.C. would bring the Ladies team under its umbrella.[6]

Despite finishing bottom of the table in 2015, there is currently no relegation from WSL2 so Watford Ladies will remain in the division for the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
