Controversy

Matt Greenwell is the owner of Greenwell's Dispensary which was raided and closed in Vallejo Ca. He changed his name for the show and began crafting an Idea to raise some cash for his attorney fee's and fines which were/are substantial.[13] Much like the Discovery Channel series Moonshiners, Weed Country has already been criticized as being a fake or scripted television show. Commentators on blogs and forums claim the show is not only intentionally fleecing viewers, but paints the medical marijuana industry in a bad light.[14]
