Welcome to Central Jail is an upcoming 2016 Malayalam comedy film written by Benny P. Nayarambalam and directed by Sundar Das^[1][2]

The project stars Dileep^[3] and Vedhika^[4][5][6] in the lead roles, and includes Renji Panicker, Kailash, Suraj Venjaramoodu and Thesni Khan in pivotal roles.

Production

The project has Sundar Das and Dileep teaming up again for a fifth film together following Sallapam, Kudamattam, Varnakazhchakal and Kuberan after a gap of 13 years.

It was announced April 2, 2016 that filming had begun in Kochi, and most of the parts to be shot in Kochi and the Poojappura Central Jail in Thiruvananthapuram.^[7][8]

Plot

A Good Samaritan (Dileep) takes on the punishments for petty crimes committed by others.^[8]
