What Are You So Scared Of? is the debut studio album by Australian rock band Tonight Alive, released on 14 October 2011 through Sony Music Australia. Tonight Alive traveled to Los Angeles to record the album with producer Mark Trombino (blink-182, Jimmy Eat World, Midtown). As the follow-up to 2010's Consider This EP, What Are You So Scared Of? debuted on the Australian albums chart at No. 15. The record's first official single, "Starlight", was released 1 July 2011. Its second, "Let It Land", was released 19 September 2011.
After signing a deal contract with Fearless Records in Autumn 2011, the band released a re-issue of the album in the United States in February 2012.[3] Upon its US release, it debuted at No. 7 on the US Heatseekers Albums chart, No. 48 on US Rock Albums and No. 10 on Independent Albums.
Tonight Alive toured Australia and North America year-long in support of the album, and made an appearance at Warped Tour 2012 in the US. The band reached success in the scene through constant touring and building up a devoted fanbase. The standard CD version of What Are You So Scared Of? contains 10 pre-gap hidden acoustic takes of the album. Let It Land EP was released to accompany it; it shares the track "Let It Land", and also contains a new song and the three acoustic versions which were unable to fit on WAYSSO?.
