"Why You Wanna" is a song by American rapper T.I., released as the second official single from his fourth album King (2006). It samples a slowed down keyboard chord from Crystal Waters' "Gypsy Woman (She's Homeless)". The chorus also interpolates Q-Tip's vocals from "Got 'Til It's Gone" with Janet Jackson and "Find a Way" with his group A Tribe Called Quest. "Why You Wanna" debuted at No. 55 on the Australian ARIA charts, peaking at No. 49. There is a Mick Boogie remix to this song, featuring Q-Tip. It was T.I.'s first single to make the UK Top 40 and was also his first single to become successful in foreign countries, many at the top 40.

Music video

The video was directed by Chris Robinson, and was shot in Hawaii. At the beginning T.I. was at the magazine stand, he saw a model on the cover. Next scene shows T.I. and his proteges hanging around on the beach looking at women. T.I. spotted a woman who was dating a man (played by T.I.'s deceased friend Phil) who was treating her wrong and T.I. was asking her why is she with him and he can treat her better. At the end was a dedication to Phil who was killed in Cincinnati at the age of 26. This video was shown on TRL.

The video appeared in black and white, yet the woman appeared in color. T.I., his shirt, and the dancer's skirts appeared in colored in a few scenes as well.
