History

The history of Wikborg Rein begins in 1923, when Erling Wikborg established an office in Oslo. His first clients were in the maritime law and marine insurance business, and these remained the firm's main areas of practice through the 1960s and 1970s. By the end of World war II, Erling Wikborg met the Norwegian resistance fighter Alex Rein in Stockholm. Alex Rein joined the firm in 1945, and entered into partnership with Erling Wikborg in 1947.[1]
