Wilhelm Braun (6 February 1902 – 22 January 1943) was a highly decorated Oberstleutnant in the Wehrmacht during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Wilhelm Braun died on 22 January 1943 at Stalingrad and was posthumously promoted to Oberstleutnant.
