Early career

Will Champlin reached some success as a songwriter previous to his participation on The Voice. He also collaborated with Michael Caruso and provided backing vocals for Ace Young's self-titled album. He played the piano for Michael Jackson's posthumous compilation album Michael. He played on the song (I Like) The Way You Love Me. He is a 2010 Grammy award recipient for his songwriting.
