Major-General William Frederick Cleeve CB JP (1853 – 31 January 1922) was a British Army officer who became Commandant of the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich.
Military career
Cleeve was commissioned into the Royal Artillery in 1873.[1] He served in Second Anglo-Afghan War and later in the Second Boer War.[1] He was appointed Chief Instructor in Gunnery in 1901 and Commandant of the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich holding that post throughout World War I.[1]
Family
In 1894 he married Gwladys Elizabeth Mitchell; they had five sons and two daughters.[2]
