William Crosbie is a Canadian diplomat. He is the former ambassador to Afghanistan, appointed June 15, 2009.[1][2]

Crosbie graduated from Memorial University in 1978 with a B.A. in political science and in history. He is also a graduate of Dalhousie University in 1982 with a LLB. Crosbie joined the Department of Foreign Affairs in 1993 and was posted in the Washington Embassay as minister-counsellor.
