William Davis (photographer)

William Davis is an American photographer based in Taos, New Mexico.

Originally from High Point, North Carolina, Davis moved to Taos in 1969 and has been creating work inspired by the area ever since.[1] Davis’s work was published in a collaborative effort with his friend and writer, John Nichols (The Milagro Beanfield War) in a photo-memoir “If Mountains Die,” in 1979. The book helped to catapult Davis into celebrity and his work can now be found in collections worldwide.[2]
