William McAnaney

William McAnaney (13 June 1910 27 October 1987) is a former Australian politician. He was a Liberal and Country League/Liberal Party of Australia member of the South Australian House of Assembly between 1963 and 1975, representing the electorates of Stirling between 1963–1970 and Heysen between 1970-1975.[1]

McAnaney also contested the Barker 1956 federal by-election caused by the death of Archie Cameron. Although the Liberals easily retained the seat, McAnaney as an independent managed to gain 7.4 percent of the vote.[2]
