William Valdés (born January 10, 1994, La Habana, Cuba), is a Cuban actor and singer.[1]
Career
At the age of 5, he attended the National Circus school in La Habana. When he was 17, he moved to Miami, later participated in the first season of the soap opera Grachi, where he portrayed Sibilo "Ora" Santisteban. In 2012, he played Miguel Ángel Samaniego in the soap opera El rostro de la venganza, along with Kimberly Dos Ramos who she worked with Grachi. In 2014 began recording soap opera Voltea pa' que te enamores, a new adaptation of the Venezuelan telenovela of the same name, which debuted in 2015.[2][3]
In May 2013, Valdés formed Mexican boy band CD9 with Jos Canela, Alonso Villalpando, Alan Navarro, and Freddy Leyva. They independently released their first single, "The Party", in August. They later signed a recording contract with Sony Music México.[4] Valdés left the group in October, citing "personal reasons", and he was replaced by Bryan Mouque.
In May 2015, Valdés released "#MAS", his first single as a soloist.[5]
