Willis Ridge

Willis Ridge (78°36′S 85°0′W / 78.600°S 85.000°W / -78.600; -85.000Coordinates: 78°36′S 85°0′W / 78.600°S 85.000°W / -78.600; -85.000) is a narrow-crested ridge extending westeast between Aster Glacier and Sowers Glacier on the east side of Craddock Massif, Sentinel Range. It was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names in 2006 after Michael J. Willis, Ohio State University geologist in Antarctica for 7 field seasons, 19972006, including research at Siple Dome and the Whillans, Bindschadler and MacAyeal Ice Streams.
