The seventh season of Winx Club focuses on the Fairy Animals. The Fairy Animals are magical creatures with special talents that are necessary for the balance of the Magical Universe. The Winx find out that they are under threat from the new villains Kalshara who is an evil shape-shifter and her brother Brafilius. To save the Fairy Animals, the Winx will have to travel through time, gain new transformations known as Butterflix and Tynix, and bond with Fairy Animals.

Production and broadcast

In 2014, it was announced that the partnership between Rainbow S.r.l. and Nickelodeon would not be renewed and that Nickelodeon will no longer co-produce the series. Season 7 is produced by Rainbow S.r.l. and co-produced by RaiFiction.

Faragonda is concerned: as each Fairy Animal has a special talent, they need to solve the mystery of the Digmole. The Winx and Roxy receive the Stones of Memories to travel back in time. Only in this way, they will be able to save the Digmoles.

In the Alfea of the past, Kalshara, a fairy with dark intentions, manages to have access to an old hall of the college. Crossing a Wild Magic source, she becomes a shapeshifting creature, the first step to obtain the Fairy Animals Ultimate Power.
