Wolf Matthias Friedrich is a classical singer of baritone and bass parts, especially of Early music and Baroque music. He is also an academic teacher in Leipzig.
Born in Leipzig, Friedrich studied at the Musikhochschule Leipzig.[1] He recorded several works by Johann Sebastian Bach with various conductors and ensembles.[1] He has been a teacher at the Leipzig Musikhochschule.[1] In 2000 he performed the role of Pluto in the first modern revival of Giovanni Legrenzi's La divisione del mondo at the Schwetzingen Festival.[2]
