World Miss University Nigeria (WMUN) is a national beauty contest held annually in Nigeria, since 2005, with an average of about 30 University undergraduates participating every year.[1]

World Miss University (WMU) was established in 1986 by the United Nations under the patronage of the International Association of University Presidents IAUP, to commemorate the UN-designated year of peace. The contest encourages determination and hard work while discouraging inappropriate dressing and ethics among female undergraduates.

The current titleholder is Ify Anita Asianya, who represented University of Benin.

Delegate Service Program

The delegates go through challenges to prove their conviction and skills in propagating the culture of ‘hand in hand for Peace’ which is the objective.[2] They stay at a rural service site, in a challenging environment to share and experience ‘Life’ with people living in difficult conditions, while being challenged to overcome their limitations and differences. These locations are chosen to let the delegates experience the reality between the poor and the rich and further give them an opportunity to think of how to resolve the gap and comprehend peace in different areas posing as challenges to the nation.
