Wren Hollow Elementary School is a primary school in the Parkway School District in St. Louis County, Missouri, United States.
Academics
Wren Hollow uses a trimester system, three sessions in a school year, each lasting about three months. Each grade has a separate "pod" where 3-4 teachers are centered in four open classrooms. There is a central, open library in the middle of the school and two computer labs, one for smaller grades, and another for higher. There is a large, open art room, a place for music classes, and even a pre-school cabin next to the school. Wren Hollow has a big gym, opening from a multipurpose area, where lunch, concerts, and assemblies are held. The school is on the Parkway Southwest Middle School and Parkway South High School campus, and has access to the high school's track for the students' annual Mile Run.
Staff
Wren Hollow employs three to four teachers for each of its grades, a librarian, an art teacher, gym teachers, music teachers, Special Education teachers, Computer Specialist teachers, MOSAICS (Gifted Program) teacher, and many more fulfill any needs. According to the Parkway website, the average staff experience is 18.7 years, every teacher has full Missouri cerfictaion, 89.2% have a master's degree or above, and the average teacher has about 20 kids.
