X-Mas Project was a supergroup formed in 1985 by a number of German heavy metal musicians. They released an EP and three albums, which explore the subject of Christmas.

History

X-Mas Project was formed in 1985 in Frankfurt, Hessen, Germany by Jörg Michael, Ralph Hubert, Martin Bork, Reiner Kelch, Frank Fricke, Andy Classen, Thomas Eder, Axel Rudi Pell, Sabina Classen, Peter Wagner, Reent Fröhlich and Thorsten Bergmann. Their first release was an EP, Bangin' Around The Christmas Tree, which was followed the same year by their first album, X-Mas Project. In 1995, they released their second album, X-Mas Project Vol.II, under a different line-up: Andreas Geremia (vocals), Adrian Hahn (bass, vocals), David Hofmann(guitar) and Stefan Arnold (drums). This album was not successful and led the band to disband in 1995. Three years later, a compilation album of their previous work came out, but it did not succeed either.
