Xanthagaricus is a genus of fungi in the family Agaricaceae.[2] The genus contains 12 species found in India and Sri Lanka. Originally described in 1984 by Belgian mycologist Paul Heinemann as Hymenagaricus subgen. Xanthagaricus,[3] it was promoted to generic status in 1997.[4]
