Xavier Castro
Xavier Castro Muñoz (b. 1965, Guayaquil, Ecuador).
Xavier Castro earned his degree in Law from the Universidad Católica Santiago de Guayaquil in 1990, followed by a master's degree in Law from Cambridge University (Peterhouse College) in 1997.
He was an Ecuadorian Supreme Court of Justice councillor until 1999 and Vice-President of the Guayaquil Chamber of Commerce over two different periods. In recent years he has also received a Chevening Scholarship award from the UK's Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
He is also a member of Una Nueva Opción (UNO), a private non-profit organization, which trains future political leaders in Ecuador.
