Xia Deren

Xia Deren (Chinese: 夏德仁; born June 1955) is a Chinese politician. He has, since 2013, served as the Chairman of the People's Political Consultative Conference of Liaoning Province. Previously, Xia has also served as the Deputy Communist Party Secretary of Liaoning province, and the Party Secretary of Dalian.

Biography

Xia Deren was born in June 1955 in Dalian, Liaoning, with ancestral roots in Rongcheng, Shandong. A member of the Communist Party of China (CPC) since July 1985. Started work in July 1982. Majored in Money and Banking, Department of Finance, Dongbei University of Finance and Economics and graduated with Master’s and Doctorate Degrees in Economics. He was a professor and doctoral advisor of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics.

July 1974 - March 1978 Participant of Educated Urban Youths Working in the Countryside Program in Zhenjiao Commune of Fu County, Liaoning Province.

March 1978 - January 1982 Bachelor's degree education, Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (originally the Liaoning Institute of Finance and Economics), majored in Finance.

January 1982 - July 1984 Teaching assistant, Department of Finance, Dongbei University of Finance and Economics

July 1984 - July 1987 Acquired the master's degree in Economics, specialized in Finance.

July 1987 - March 1990 Acquired the Doctorate Degree in Economics, specialized in Money and Banking.

January 1989 - January 1990 Research fellow in Development Research Center of the State Council

March 1990 - May 1992 Deputy Dean, Department of Finance, and Associate Professor (received exceptional promotion) of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics.
