Xuan ([ɕɥɛ́n])[nb 1] is the Mandarin pinyin romanization of the Chinese surname written 宣 in Chinese character. It is romanized Hsüan in Wade–Giles. Xuan is the 178th surname in the Song dynasty classic text Hundred Family Surnames.[1] It is not among the top 300 most common Chinese surnames.[2]
