Wellmade Yedang (Hangul: 웰메이드예당), formerly known as Wellmade StarM is a management agency in South Korea that was established in 1976.[1][2]

History

1976 - originally named "Banpo Industries" - an industrial tent manufacturer; previously headquartered at Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province.

2000 - the company name changed to "Banpo Tech"

2006 - merged with Star M Entertainment and became "Star M Co. Ltd." as a result; among the first artists in its roster were Shin Min-ah, Jang Dong-gun and Hyun Bin

2007 - joined KOSDAQ

2008 - changed name again to "Wellmade Star M"; moved to Gangnam District, Seoul

2013 - acquired Girl's Day's agency Dream Tea Entertainment

2014 - acquired Yedang Company; then changed name to "Wellmade Yedang"[3]

2015 - acquired 80% of YMC Entertainment

2015 - acquired BLUE STAR Entertainment.

2016 - parted ways with Yedang Company. Yedang Company also changed their name to 'Banana Culture' and gave 'Yedang' brand back to the original owner.
