Yahşelli is a village in Menemen intracity district of İzmir Province, Turkey.It is situated at 38°37′N 27°20′E / 38.617°N 27.333°E to the south of the Gediz River (ancient Hermus). It is only 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) east of Menemen. The population of Yahşelli is 4000 [1] as of 2011. The village suffered a great fire in August 2011 when more than 100 hectares of forestry was burned.[2]
