Yakov Fedorenko
Marshal of the armored troops Yakov Nikolayevich Fedorenko (1896–1947) was a Soviet general during World War II.
From 1940 to 1946 he was head of the Main Armoured Directorate, rendering practical assistance in the use of armored and mechanized troops in battles against the enemy, and was representative of the Supreme Command in the Battles of Moscow, Stalingrad and Kursk and many other major operations. From 1942 until his death, he was commander of all mechanized forces of the Red Army.
