Yana Urqu (Quechua yana, black, urqu mountain,[2] "black mountain", hispanicized spelling Yanaorjo) is a mountain in the Urupampa mountain range in the Andes of Peru, about 4,800 metres (15,748 ft) high. It lies in the Cusco Region, Calca Province, Calca District. Yana Urqu is situated southeast of Sawasiray, south of Q'irayuq, north of Aqusuni (Ajosune, Aqosune) and Apurinri (Apurinru) and northwest of Puma Kallanka (Pumacallanca) and Llamayuq Q'asa.
The two little lakes northeast of Yana Urqu are named Anqasqucha (Quechua for "blue lake", Ancascocha) and Suyruqucha (Quechua suyru a very long dress tracked after when worn, qucha lake, Suirococha).[1][3]
