YANG Yang (simplified Chinese: 杨洋; traditional Chinese: 楊洋; pinyin: Yáng Yáng), born on September 9, 1991 in Shanghai, China, is a well-known Chinese actor.

Career

Yang Yang graduated from the Department of Dance in People's Liberation Army Arts College in China. He made his acting debut in The Dream of Red Mansions as the lead role Jia Baoyu(adult), which is a great beginning of his career as an actor. He won the "Best New Actor" award in "BQ Celebrity Score Awards" after The Dream of Red Mansions broadcast in 2010.

In 2011, Yang Yang played Yang Kaizhi (the elder brother of Yang Kaihui) in film The Founding of a Party. This is the first time he acted in a film. In 2013, he played a male lead role called Cao Zhi in a history play called Legend of Goddess Luo. In the same year, he was awarded "Most Influential New TV Actor" in "Entertainment Live Rankings". 2014 was an lucky and essential year for Yang: he obtained his popularity by acting Xu Yi in film The Left Ear. Also, the role of Zhang Qiling in drama The Lost Tomb promoted him to be one of the hottest young actors in China. In the mean time, he played Wu Qing in costume drama The Four (TV series); and won the "Most popular male actor among youngsters" award and "Chinsese Literature and Arts Rank on Campus" on account for his brilliant acting. In 2015, Yang Yang participated in reality television show Divas Hit the Road(II). In addition, he played Ruo Bai in TV drama Tornado Girl, adapted from Ming Xiaoxi's novel. His new awaited TV drama Fashion is a Smile and movie Three Lives of Peach Blossom will soon be on in 2016.
