Yasha Asley

Yasha Ayari Asley (Persian: یاشا عیاری آسلی; born 2002) of Iranian descent;[1] from Leicester, United Kingdom, is a British mathematics child prodigy. At eight years old, he is the youngest person in the world to have achieved grade A at Mathematics A-level, scoring 100% and 99% in two of the six papers.[2]

School

Yasha attended a public primary school, Folville Junior School, on Folville Rise, Leicester and took class with his peers. His secondary school was Fullhurst Community College, where he was taught in lessons to prepare him for GCSE History, ICT and French while he still studied with his peers. He is now home schooled, the reason being that his father wasn't happy with his progress at Fullhurst. [3]

University tuition

In 2009-2014 once a week Yasha had personal mathematics consultations at the University of Leicester.[4]

A-level

Yasha passed the A-level exam, which is a further education exam, normally taken by 17/18-year-olds as a prerequisite to entering University. He is the youngest person in the world to have achieved the top score of A-grade.[5] The previous holders of this distinction Zohaib Ahmed, March Boedihardjo and Ruth Lawrence passed at nine years of age.[6]

Further Exams

In the summer of 2011, Yasha took further A-Levels in which he did exceptionally well.
