Yasir Hussain is a Pakistani theatre, film and television actor, VJ, playwright and screenwriter from Islamabad best known for his role as "Moti" in 2015 film Karachi Se Lahore.[1][2]

Early life and career

Yasir was born in Islamabad, Pakistan to a Muslim family. Yasir stated in an interview that his father wanted him to become an actor.[3]
Yasir moved to Karachi to begin his career where became a VJ for Aag TV. He worked as a VJ for two years and then he joined a theatre where he started writing and acting in plays. He has written and acted in various plays and was apart of Anwar Maqsood's "Angan Terha", "Pawney 14 August" and "Sawa 14 August".[4][5] Yasir made his Lollywood debut in the film Karachi Se Lahore written by himself and directed by Wajahat Rauf.[6][7] He has also acted in television serials including sitcom Coke Kahani and drama serial Dareecha.[8] Yasir will also appear in Lahore Se Aagey which is sequel to Karachi Se Lahore and is expected to release on 10 September 2016. And Senti Aur Mental which is written and directed by Yasra Rizvi.[9][10]
