Yazali is a small village located in the coastal Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh, India. The population was 3,103 (2001 figures).
History
Yazali is one of the historical villages of Guntur District (Andhra Pradesh) located 40 miles south of Guntur City on the East Coast of India. It is traditionally known to be the hub of education in the district. The Vedapathasala associated with SankaraMath has a very long history. The Village is about 9 km away from Bay of Bengal and has a potential tourist spot at Suryalanka.
Yazali Najanma Bhoomi Village development Society
Yazali – Naa Janma Bhoomi Village Development Society is established in 2010 by a group of social conscious villagers and social workers. Some of the founders had been involved in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities. Hailing from Yazali (Yagnasthali – original name) village, they have been contemplating on how to give back to their own mother land.
During 2010, they came to know about some of the gruesome accidents in which boys belonging to their village lost their lives. To their utter astonishment, they came to know the reason behind those accidents was drunk and drive and rash driving and that too all of them were very young students of 10th class and Intermediate age.
On analyzing the situation in depth, they understood that their village needs a motivated and focused mentorship and comprehensive development. Thus, Yazali – Naa Janma Bhoomi took birth. As a not-for- profit organization, Yazali – Naa Janma Bhoomi aims to work for bringing upliftment for Yazali village in areas of agriculture, rural development, public sanitation, education, women empowerment, healthcare, wellness, rural rehabilitation, creating livelihoods, etc. The trust also destines to transform Yazali as a Model Village in the entire Guntur District of Andhra Pradesh state in India.
Vision and Mission
Yazali – Naa Janma Bhoomi aims to transform Yazali village with comprehensive development for people to access better infrastructure facilities for their education, healthcare, empowerment, livelihoods, etc. At Yazali – Naa Janma Bhoomi, we dream to become a model village for wholesome progress not only in this region but also across India.
Temples
The Village has historical Three temples in compound: Siva temple, Anjaneyaswamy temple and laxmi narasimhaswamy temple.
And another famous temple is SRI PUTTALAMMA THALLI temple.
Mr. G. Venkateswararao and Mrs. G. Soundaryavathi from Hyderabad, A.P. India have constructed a Sai Baba temple in their native village Yazali located in Guntur District in Andhra Pradesh, India. Following the idea which was to serve the local people by raising a temple for a holy saint Sai Baba. The Temple was inaugurated on April 30, 2008. A lot of humanitarian activities is conducted by the temple authorities whenever possible. The temple with its wonderful setting houses a number of idols namely Lord Shiva, Lord Ganesha and Lord Dattatreya.[1]

Yazali is located at Latitude 15.9044 Longitude 80.4675.[2] It has an average elevation of 5 metres (16 feet).
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,Yazali had a population of 3,103. Males constituted 51% of the population and females 49%. Yazali has an average literacy rate of 23%, lower than the national average of 59.5%; with 35% of the males and 15% of females literate. 10% of the population is under 6 years of age.[3]
