The blue finch or yellow-billed blue finch (Porphyrospiza caerulescens) is a species of bird in the family Thraupidae. Sometimes classified in the bunting and American sparrow family Emberizidae, a recent study has shown it to belong in the Thraupidae. It in the monotypic genus Porphyrospiza.
It is found in Bolivia and Brazil. Its natural habitat is dry savanna. It is becoming rare due to habitat loss.
