Yitzchak Amit (Hebrew: יצחק עמית) is a member of the Supreme Court of Israel.[1] Born in 1958 in Tel-Aviv, Israel, he served in the IDF's unit 8200 and obtained his JD from Hebrew University in 1985.[2] He was elected to the Supreme Court in August 2009, and took office in October 2009.[3] He was previously a judge in the Haifa district court.[3]
