Jose Torres Aberu (born June 17, 1980 in Chicago), known professionally as Yomo, is a Puerto Rican reggaeton recording artist. He was raised in Humacao, Puerto Rico. Before becoming a professional artist, he used to work as a handyman on Puerto Rico's Palmas Del Mar Beach Resort.[1]

Musical career

Yomo was born Jose Torres on June 17, 1980 in Chicago to Puerto Rican parents. He spent most of his childhood raised in Humacao, Puerto Rico. Yomo spent half of his live living in a small town in New York called Amsterdam. He is the youngest of three kids. Yomo is the father of 4 kids of three different women. Yomo dedicated his whole CD "My Destiny" to his ex-wife Jainel. While Don Omar and Daddy Yankee were crossing over into the pop international hits Reggaetón Latino and Gasolina, respectively, Yomo was still developing in reggaeton breeding ground. He first started to work with Master Joe & O.G. Black and appeared in their cd Sabotage. His first taste of success came in the form of the hot single '"Déjale Caer To' El Peso and my destiny"', which charted on the music charts and in 2009 with his hit "Descara", which became a hit in the U.S & the Caribbean.In 2010, his song Lio came out.In 2010, he also was nominated for billboards for his song bella calla, which was not released yet but on his webpage[2] This song was also leaked in the web and this song was also another hit.
