Yorkshire Premier League North

Hunters Yorkshire Premier League North was formed in early 2016 following the re-structure of club cricket within Yorkshire. Of the initial 12 competing teams, six are from the now disbanded Yorkshire League - York, YCCC Academy, Driffield Town, Harrogate, Hull, and Castleford. The other six teams are from the York & District Senior Cricket League - Sheriff Hutton Bridge, Scarborough, Woodhouse Grange, Acomb, Dunnington, and Stamford Bridge.

A process of promotion and relegation will be in operation with the bottom two teams being replaced each season by the top two teams from the York & District Senior Cricket League.

A 50 over knockout competition will be competed for in conjunction with Yorkshire South Premier League.

Teams will also compete in a T20 tournament, and there is also an U19 T20 for younger players.

The outright winners will compete in a play-off series against the champions of Yorkshire South Premier League, The Bradford League, and The North Yorkshire & South Durham Premier League (Yorkshire clubs only!). The semi-finals will be at both Headingley, and Scarborough. In 2016 the final will take place in Abu Dhabi courtesy of Yorkshire County Cricket Club.
