YouWeCan is a foundation established by Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh meant to fight Cancer by spreading awareness about the fatal disease. Yuvraj Singh himself was diagnosed with Cancer and defeated the disease after a long treatment in the United States of America.[1] In September 2012 YouWeCan' app initially for the Windows Phone was launched by Microsoft. When a user buys the app, he contributes one part of the price ₹565 (US$8.40) as a donation to the foundation.[2] In September 2012, a Television show Zindagi Abhi Baaki Hai, inspired by Yuvraj's story of fighting cancer has been announced which will be made in a collaboration between Colors and YouWeCan.[3]
In April 2015 Yuvraj Singh announced the intention to invest INR 40-50 crores in online startups, expanding the YouWeCan proposition by setting up YouWeCan Ventures in order to do so. Initial investments have been made in Vyomo,[4] Moovo,[5] Healthians,[6] EduKart,[7] JetSetGo[8] and most recently Cartisan.[9]
