Young People's Front for Democracy and Justice (YPFDJ) (Tigrinya: ህዝባዊ ግንባር ንደሞክራስን ፍትሕን ን'ምንኦሰያት, Həzbawi Gənbar nəDämokrasən Fətəḥən, abbreviated ህግደፍ?, Arabic: الجبهة الشعبية للديمقراطية والعدالة al-Jabhatu l-Shaʻabiyatu lil-Dīmuqrāṭiyatu wāl-ʻIdālah) is a nationalist Eritrean Diaspora Youth organization branch of their parent organization, the People's Front for Democracy and Justice (PFDJ), that is striving to create a strong, conscious, and patriotic youth movement.[1] Conferences are held every year in North America and Europe, one of which was held in Washington, D.C. in 2008.[2] The most recent conference exclusively for the YPFDJ of North America was yet again held in Washington, D.C. in 2014. It recently held its annual conference in Oslo, Norway between April 22–25.[3] Conference usually hosts PFDJ party officials as honoured guest speakers, which includes Yemane Gebreab, Saleh Meki and Woldenkiel Abraha.[4]
