The Zagreb Mosque, located in the city of Zagreb, is the largest mosque in Croatia. Islamic Secondary School "Dr. Ahmed Smajlović" and a cultural centre operate within the mosque. The construction began in 1981[2] and had finished in 1987.
In 1983, the Emir of Sharjah, Sultan bin Mohamed Al-Qasimi, who had donated 2.5 million USD for the construction, visited the Islamic Community in Zagreb.[2]
