Zain Saudi Arabia

Zain Saudi Arabia is the third mobile network operating company in Saudi Arabia, operating GSM and LTE technology. It was launched on 26 August 2008[1][2][3] and it enrolled more than 2 million subscribers within 4 months of its launch. The company paid $6.1 billion for its license to operate in Saudi Arabia for 25 years.

The company has been listed on Tadawul, the Saudi Stock Exchange since 22 March 2008.

The company negotiated a $2.5 billion Islamic loan in 2009.[4]

Zain appointed a new chairman on Saturday 23 March 2013, without giving any further information as is common in Saudi Arabia. This news comes within a week of Saudi Telecom's (STC) CEO resigning from his position. [5] [6]

The company has recently achieved and celebrated a milestone of over 11 million customers base. To achieve this milestone Zain Saudi Arabia made a very demanding enhancement in the backbone, core network and access networks.
