Zalakaros is a town in Zala County, Hungary.

Zalakaros is famous for its thermal bath. Zalakaros, the tiniest city of Hungary, gained its fame in 1967, when an oil prospect drilling resulted in a nearly 96°C (205 °F) hot thermal spring coming up from 1000 meter. The certified medical water proved very effective in the treatment of chronic arthritis, chronic gynaecological, dental and rheumatic diseases, and prior to and after orthopaedic surgeries, neurosurgeries and operations. The wellness-, leisure- and conference hotel Karos Spa lies only 400 metres from the centre of Zalakaros in romantic atmosphere, surrounded by vineyards, forests and gently sloping hills. This 4-star hotel in Zalakaros based its services on the effective thermal water. The Harmony Beauty Centre and the Spa Health Care of the hotels offers wide range of services for the guests.
