Zayd ibn Umar

Zayd ibn Umar (Arabic: زيد بن عمر) was the son of the second caliph of Sunni Islam (also known as the Rashidun) Umar ibn al-Khattab and likely the grandson of the fourth caliph of Sunni Islam and the first Imam of Shia Islam, Ali ibn Abi Talib.

Biography

His mother likely could have been Umm Kulthum bint Ali, the daughter of the last of the four Rashidun of Sunni Islam and the first Imam of Shia Islam Ali ibn Abi Talib. He was killed while trying to bring peace to his clan of Banu `Adi at the same time his mother Umm Kulthum died.
