The Zemaciinae, containing only the genus Zemacies, was considered a subfamily of predatory sea snails, marine gastropod mollusks, belonging to the family Turridae,[1] commonly named turrids. Following a revision by Philippe Bouchet et al.,[2] the monogeneric subfamily Zemaciinae was abandoned[3] and the genus Zemacies was transferred from Turridae to Borsoniidae. The Zemaciinae were distinguished from other subfamilies by the lack of a radula.
Genus
The only genus included in the subfamily Zemaciinae was Zemacies:
- Zemacies H. J. Finlay, 1926
- Zemacies excelsa Sysoev & Bouchet, 2001
- Zemacies queenslandica (Powell, 1969)
